Made of 304 stainless steel, Stackbit's V1 wallet was designed to withstand any type of problem, from a fire to a powerful gunshot. Built to last, it consists of two 3mm thick plates, fastened face to face with two screws, also made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust. This type of material tolerates temperatures above 1200ºc, withstanding a house fire, for example, where the temperature is around 800ºc. It was subjected to a sudden temperature change test, that is, going from 950º directly to water at 20ºc, simulating a house on fire being put out by firefighters; in the end, all the data was preserved and readable. Resistant to water and corrosion, it can be stored inside water tanks, a refrigerator (a real cold wallet 🙂 ), buried in the back of your house, or even in a stream. Oh, and Stackbit is also resistant to salt spray, electrical discharges, and even electromagnetic pulses (EMP).
The V1 wallet holds 48 words and has 2 blank fields, usually used for a passphrase.
It can be engraved with a rotary engraver (e.g. dremel) or with a punch.
